25th floor · 7 am–8 pm

The rooftop infinity pool

A rectangular pool on the roof with a glass edge, palms and a swim-up bar, looking over My Khe to the Son Tra peninsula. Reviewers describe it as small and fairly deep, and busiest in the hour before sunset.

Worth it if you swim early or come up for the sunset drink. Skip it if you want a long lap pool or a shallow area for toddlers.

Twin massage beds with folded towels in a wood-panelled treatment room

23rd floor · Book ahead

Zen Spa

Asian-style massages and hot-stone treatments, plus a dry sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi. Kyoto and Osaka guests get a 60-minute voucher for two each day; others pay per treatment, and the current price list is not published.

Worth it if you book a Kyoto or Osaka room, or want a massage after a flight. Skip it if you prefer the cheaper street spas of An Thuong.

Japanese restaurant at night with paper lanterns and wooden tables beside floor-to-ceiling windows over city lights

25th floor · Japanese

Yamazaki

The group’s Japanese restaurant, beside the rooftop pool, with window tables over the city lights. Its Halloween set for two on 31 October 2026 was VND 750,000; opening hours are not published.

Worth it if you want dinner with a view without leaving the hotel. Skip it if you came for Vietnamese food; the streets below are better for that.

Long breakfast buffet with tiled counters, glass jars and hot dishes in a bright restaurant

6:30–10 am · Buffet

Breakfast in the SALA Restaurant

A large Asian and Western buffet with beef grilled to order, a pho station, barista coffee and fruit. It ends sharply at 10 am, and guests note few halal or vegetarian choices.

Worth it if your rate includes it and you like a big first meal. Skip it if you plan to eat at the beach cafés every morning.

Free · Hours not published

Kids playroom

A playroom with an undersea mural and soft toys appears in the hotel’s own photos, and listings describe it as a free kids club. Location, hours and age range are not published.

Worth it if you need a rainy-hour break with small children. Skip it if you expect a supervised club with daily activities.

Small gym with treadmills and exercise bikes by tall windows over the city

Free · Small

Gym

Treadmills, bikes, a few weights and yoga mats by tall windows. Reviewers find it small and some machines dated; one guest says it opens around the clock.

Worth it if a short run on the treadmill is enough. Skip it if you train seriously; the beach promenade is better for running.

Making the most of the facilities

01

Swim before 9 am

Reviewers say loungers fill up and the pool gets loud with families in the late afternoon. The first hour after opening is the calm one.

02

Book the spa at check-in

Zen Spa takes bookings at reception. If you have a Kyoto or Osaka voucher, reserve your daily slots on arrival so they do not go unused.

03

Time the rooftop drink

Happy hour at Pool & Palms ran from 5 to 7 pm in 2025, which covers sunset most of the year. Ask at reception whether it still runs.

Honest note

The rooftop pool is the hotel’s best feature and also its bottleneck: it is not large, it is deep, and loungers are often reserved with towels. There is no confirmed shallow children’s pool, and the gym is basic. If a big resort pool matters, this is the wrong hotel.

Questions about facilities at Sala Danang

Is the Sala Danang rooftop pool heated?

The hotel does not say, and no listing describes it as heated. Da Nang’s sea and air stay warm for most of the year, but from December to February evenings can feel cool on a windy rooftop. Ask the hotel if you travel in winter and swimming is a priority.

Can visitors who are not staying use the Sala Danang pool?

The hotel does not publish a day-pass policy. Afternoon tea is sold to in-house guests only, which suggests a guests-first approach to the upper floors. If you plan to meet friends staying elsewhere, ask reception before inviting them up to the pool.

Is there a bar with a view at Sala Danang?

Yes. Pool & Palms on the 25th floor sits beside the rooftop pool, and S-Bar serves coffee and drinks under umbrellas. Happy hour at both ran from 5 to 7 pm with buy-one-get-one on drinks by the glass in 2025. One reviewer says the rooftop bar closes around 10:30 pm.

Does Sala Danang have a sauna or steam room?

Yes, both are in Zen Spa on the 23rd floor, along with a jacuzzi. A 100-minute combo was sold for VND 499,000 in a 2024 promotion, which has ended, so ask for the current price. Bring swimwear; the spa sets its own rules for the sauna and steam room.

What events does Sala Danang hold on the rooftop?

The hotel uses the 25th floor for seasonal events: a barbecue on Vietnam’s National Day in September 2026, a countdown party on New Year’s Eve and a Halloween night in October 2026. Pool & Palms also offered a poolside dinner for couples from 6 to 10 pm. Dates and prices are announced on the hotel’s own pages.

Is breakfast at Sala Danang suitable for vegetarian or halal diets?

Only partly. The buffet is large, but reviewers note few clearly vegetarian dishes and no halal labeling. Mention your diet in the booking notes and once more on arrival; dishes on request are not guaranteed. Several vegetarian and halal restaurants are a short ride away in An Thuong.
