Quick facts
Sala Danang at a glance
Sala Danang Beach Hotel is a 162-room beach hotel in a 25-floor tower, opened in 2019 and rated 4-star by the hotel itself, one block back from My Khe Beach in Da Nang’s An Hai ward. Its rooftop infinity pool and the Japanese-style Kyoto and Osaka rooms set it apart. The trade-off is that it is not on the sand: you cross the busy beach road, Vo Nguyen Giap, to swim.
It fits couples, friends and families who want the beach, a food street and a rooftop pool within minutes of each other more than a quiet resort garden.

Measured from the hotel entrance
Is Sala Danang right for you?
An honest split, based on the hotel’s layout and what guests report after their stay.
A good fit if you

Sala Danang FAQ: what guests ask before booking
Answers to what guests ask before booking, taken from the hotel’s own terms, measured routes and what reviewers report. Facts checked October 2026.
Location & getting there6
How far is Sala Danang from My Khe Beach, and can you walk it?
About 310 meters, roughly a four-minute walk. Sala Danang sits on Lam Hoanh Street, one block back from the beach road, so you walk to the end of the lane and cross Vo Nguyen Giap, a busy multi-lane road; there is a marked pedestrian crossing almost opposite the hotel. The hotel has no direct beach access of its own. Route measured on OpenStreetMap, October 2026.
What is the best way from Da Nang Airport to Sala Danang, and the cost?
The drive is about 5.5 km and takes 15–20 minutes outside rush hour. The hotel runs a free scheduled shuttle in a 16-seat van for guests who send their booking code, name, phone number and flight number in advance; confirm the current timetable when you book, because some listings describe it as paid. A Grab car to the My Khe area cost about VND 100,000–150,000 and a metered taxi VND 130,000–190,000 in August 2026.
Is Sala Danang in Son Tra district or An Hai ward?
Both names describe the same place. Since 1 July 2025 the address is 36–38 Lam Hoanh, An Hai ward, Da Nang; before the 2025 ward merger it was Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district, and many listings and taxi apps still use the old form. Show drivers “36 Lam Hoanh, near My Khe Beach” and they will find it.
How far is Sala Danang from Dragon Bridge and Han Market?
Dragon Bridge is 3.2 km by road, about 10 minutes by car, or 2.2 km on foot, roughly a 30-minute walk. Han Market is 3.4 km, 10–12 minutes by car, and a long walk in the midday heat. The Son Tra night market, near the eastern end of Dragon Bridge, is about 2 km away, 7–10 minutes by car.
How long is the drive from Sala Danang to Hoi An or the Ba Na Hills cable car?
Hoi An’s old town is about 32 km away, 45–55 minutes by car; the Ba Na Hills cable car station is about 27 km, 40–50 minutes. A Grab between Da Nang and Hoi An cost VND 250,000–400,000 one way in 2026. For a full day with waiting time, ask the front desk about a private car and agree the price before you set off.
Is there a convenience store or pharmacy near Sala Danang?
Yes, on the same street. OpenStreetMap lists a Hello Mart convenience store and Blue Pharmacy on Lam Hoanh, and a Highlands Coffee on the corner of Vo Nguyen Giap, each a few minutes on foot. ATMs and public toilets line the beach promenade across the road. Lotte Mart, the large supermarket, is about 5 km south, 12–15 minutes by car.
Rooms & views6
Which rooms at Sala Danang face the sea directly?
The hotel describes the Deluxe Twin Balcony Sea View, Sala Suite, Premium Suite and Kyoto Suite as facing the sea, and the Two Bedroom Apartment on the 24th floor as panoramic. Superior rooms look over the city, while the Superior Partial Sea View, Suite Partial Sea View and Family Suite see the sea at an angle. Higher floors see more; a floor request is on request — ask the hotel when you book.
What are the Kyoto and Osaka rooms at Sala Danang?
They are the hotel’s two Japanese-style categories. Kyoto is a 65 m² suite facing the sea with a low tea table and floor cushions; Osaka is an 87 m² one-bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. Both come with a welcome cake, two yukata robes to borrow for photos and, according to the hotel, a 60-minute spa voucher for two guests on each day of the stay.
Which rooms at Sala Danang have a bathtub or a balcony?
According to the hotel’s room pages, every category from the Deluxe Twin upward has a bathtub, and the Sala Suite has a large round tub facing the beach road. Superior rooms and the Family Suite have a shower only. Balconies come with the Deluxe Twin Balcony Sea View, Suite Partial Sea View, Sala Suite, Premium Suite and Two Bedroom Apartment.
What does “Afternoon Tea Included” mean in some Sala Danang room names?
It is most likely a benefit of that rate rather than a feature of the room. The hotel’s own room pages do not list afternoon tea, and the hotel sells it separately on the second floor from 2 to 4 pm (VND 199,000 per guest in April 2026). Read the rate conditions before you pay, and choose the plain rate if you will be out in the afternoon.
Is the “Presidential Suite” on the booking page the same as Sala Danang’s Two Bedroom Apartment?
The details match. The booking page lists a 175 m² unit on the 24th floor with one king and two single beds, which is how the hotel describes its Two Bedroom Apartment Panoramic View, with a kitchenette, washer-dryer and an outdoor bathtub off the main bedroom. The hotel’s site does not describe an executive lounge, so ask the hotel what that rate includes before you book.
Are some rooms at Sala Danang noisier than others?
Sound insulation is the most common complaint in public reviews: guests mention corridor noise, the lifts and air-conditioning hum. Ask for a room away from the lift lobby and on a higher floor when you book; it is on request, not guaranteed. Some reviewers say the front desk will give you earplugs if you ask.
Check-in, rules & deposits5
When can I check in and out at Sala Danang?
Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 12 noon. Early check-in depends on which rooms are free and carries a charge. Under the hotel’s own terms, leaving after noon costs half a day, and leaving after 6 pm costs a full extra night. The guest who checks in must be 18 or over.
Does Sala Danang take a deposit at check-in?
The answer differs by channel. One large booking listing says no deposit is required, while others say the hotel may hold a card authorization or cash for incidentals, together with photo ID. Bring a credit card and your passport, and ask the hotel when you book what it will hold for your stay.
Can you smoke at Sala Danang?
Only in designated areas, or on your balcony with the balcony door closed. All rooms are non-smoking, and the hotel’s terms set a fine of VND 2,000,000 for smoking inside a room. If you smoke, a category with a balcony, such as the Deluxe Twin Balcony Sea View or one of the suites, makes the rule easy to follow.
Are pets allowed at Sala Danang?
No. The hotel does not accept pets, and two large booking listings state that service animals are not accepted either. If you travel with an assistance animal, contact the hotel before you book and get the answer in writing, so there is no surprise at the front desk.
Why does the front desk ask for my passport?
Every hotel in Vietnam must declare the stay of each foreign guest to the local police, so the desk copies or scans your passport and visa page and hands it back. The same idea covers visitors: under the hotel’s terms, anyone who stays overnight in your room must register at reception and pay a charge.
Food & drink4
What is breakfast like at Sala Danang, and what time does it run?
Breakfast runs from 6:30 to 10 am as a buffet in the SALA Restaurant. Reviewers single out beef grilled to order, a pho station, barista coffee and a large fruit counter, and say the dishes change from day to day. Not every rate includes it, and the price of a breakfast-only ticket is not published, so check the rate line before you choose.
Is there a Japanese restaurant at Sala Danang?
Yes. Yamazaki, the group’s Japanese restaurant, is on the 25th floor beside the rooftop pool and replaced an earlier Japanese venue on the same floor. Its Halloween set for two on 31 October 2026 was priced at VND 750,000. Opening hours are not published, so ask the hotel, and reserve ahead if you want a table at sunset.
Where is afternoon tea served at Sala Danang?
On the second floor, daily from 2 to 4 pm. In April 2026 the hotel priced it at VND 199,000 per guest with unlimited sweet and savory items, for in-house guests only, plus a buy-two-get-one drinks offer. Older posts list other prices and longer hours, so check the current board at reception before you go up.
Where can you eat near Sala Danang within walking distance?
The lanes around Lam Hoanh and the An Thuong grid, 1.5 km south, are packed with Vietnamese, Korean and Western places, many open late. The beach road has seafood restaurants with tanks out front; ask the price per kilo before you order. For street food stalls, the Son Tra night market is a short ride, about 2 km away.
Pool, beach & facilities5
Where is the pool at Sala Danang, and what are the hours?
The infinity pool is on the rooftop, the 25th floor, with a swim-up bar and views over My Khe and the Son Tra peninsula. Listings give its hours as 7 am to 8 pm; the hotel does not publish them, so confirm at check-in. Reviewers say it is small, deep and busy around sunset, and that loungers are often claimed early with towels.
Is the rooftop pool at Sala Danang safe for small children?
Take care. Several reviewers describe the rooftop pool as fairly deep; one large listing mentions a fenced shallow section and another lists a children’s pool on the 25th floor, but the hotel itself says neither. Bring armbands for children who cannot swim, stay within reach, and ask the hotel about the depth before you book.
Does Sala Danang provide towels or sunbeds on My Khe Beach?
Not clearly. No source confirms a private sunbed area for the hotel on My Khe, which is a public beach across Vo Nguyen Giap road. Some listings mention pool and beach towels, so ask at reception whether you can take towels across to the sand. Public toilets and showers line the promenade near the crossing.
Is there a spa and a gym at Sala Danang?
Yes. Zen Spa is on the 23rd floor, with Asian-style massages, hot stones, a dry sauna, a steam room and a jacuzzi; book a time at reception. The gym has cardio machines and yoga mats, but reviewers describe it as small with older equipment. A herbal foot soak runs in the lobby from 1 to 2 pm (VND 99,000 for 30 minutes, May 2025).
Is parking free at Sala Danang, and are there bicycles?
Yes to both, according to the larger listings: parking is free with a valet service, and the hotel lends bicycles at no charge. The flat promenade along Vo Nguyen Giap is the easiest place to ride. One guest reported renting an electric scooter near the hotel for about VND 150,000 per day, but that is not a hotel service.
Families & groups4
Do children stay free at Sala Danang?
Under the hotel’s own policy, up to two children under 6 stay free when they share the parents’ bed. Children aged 6–11 cost VND 180,000 each per day, and from age 12 the charge is VND 300,000 per day, paid at the hotel. Booking listings quote different amounts, so check the child fee shown on your rate before you pay.
Which room at Sala Danang fits a family of four?
The Family Suite (56 m²) is two connected rooms with a double bed and two singles, shower only. For more space, the 175 m² Two Bedroom Apartment on the 24th floor sleeps four, with a kitchenette and washer-dryer. Most other categories take two adults; only the Deluxe Twin and Suite Partial accept an extra bed, at VND 450,000 per day under the hotel’s terms.
Is there a kids club at Sala Danang?
There is a children’s playroom with an underwater-themed mural in the hotel’s own photos, and two large listings describe a free kids club. The hotel does not publish its location, opening hours or age range, so ask before you book if a supervised club matters to your family.
Can Sala Danang take a group of ten rooms or more?
Yes, but not through the standard booking page: for ten rooms or more the hotel asks groups to contact its sales team. The free airport shuttle carries up to ten guests per van run, so a large group should plan extra transport from the airport, or stagger arrival times.
Money, plugs & who runs it3
Is Sala Danang Beach Hotel part of the SALA resorts in Thailand?
No. Sala Danang Beach Hotel belongs to Sala Hotel Group, a Vietnamese company that also runs hotels in Tuy Hoa and Quy Nhon. It has no link to SALA Hospitality, the Thai brand behind SALA Samui and SALA Phuket, or to Hoi An Sala Hotel, a separate three-star hotel in Hoi An.
What plugs and voltage do the rooms use?
Vietnam runs on 220 volts at 50 Hz, and wall sockets usually take two-pin plugs of type A, C or F. Most phone and laptop chargers handle 220 volts without a converter. Bring a universal adapter if your plugs are type G or I; the hotel does not say whether rooms have USB sockets.
Can you pay extras at Sala Danang by card?
Yes. The hotel’s terms list cash, credit card and bank transfer, and bills are in Vietnamese dong. Spa treatments, restaurant bills and the minibar are charged to the room. Some guests mention free minibar items, but the hotel does not state this, so ask at check-in what is included.
When to go3
What is the best month to stay at Sala Danang?
February to May usually brings the calmest sea and the most sunshine on My Khe, before the hottest weeks of June to August. Da Nang’s rainy season runs from about September to December, with storm risk peaking in October and November, when the sea can be too rough to swim and the rooftop pool may close in bad weather.
Can you see the Da Nang fireworks festival from Sala Danang?
Partly. The international fireworks festival is staged over the Han River near Dragon Bridge, about 3 km away, usually on weekends in June and July. In 2023 the hotel sold a fireworks-view dinner at its 25th-floor restaurant; a repeat for the next festival has not been announced, so ask the hotel when you book.
How far ahead should I book Sala Danang?
For Korean holidays such as Seollal and Chuseok, Vietnamese Tet and the fireworks weekends, book several weeks ahead, because the hotel is popular with Korean and Vietnamese travelers on those dates. Outside them, a week or two is usually enough. Choose a rate with free cancellation if your plans may still change.
